CEBU, Philippines - GMA Network’s coverage and TV special on the 2010 Sinulog Festival led competition in TV ratings in Metro Cebu, according to data from AGB Nielsen Philippines.
GMA’s coverage dubbed, Kapuso Sinulog Celebration, posted a 23.9% rating on January 17, 3.8 percentage points higher than competition’s 20.1%. The Kapuso special, Pit Senyor!, on the other hand, logged a rating at 24.7% compared to its rival program’s 23.7%.
The special and the coverage likewise bagged the 6th and 9th slot in the top 30 programs list, respectively.
Kapuso Sinulog Celebration was anchored by Balitang Bisdak anchor and known Kapuso tri-media personality Bobby ‘Super Bob’ Nalzaro.
GMA Network held a series of successful activities during the Sinulog weekend, which included the well-attended Kapuso Night that featured the lead stars of The Last Prince, Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal; and First Time’s Joshua Dionisio and Barbie Forteza; plus the group La Diva; and the Kapuso Mall Show that showcased the cast of Full House – Richard Gutierrez, Heart Evangelista, Isabel Oli, Patrick Garcia, Sheena Halili, and Rainier Castillo.
This year, GMA Network brings a stronger lineup of programs in celebration of its 60th anniversary. Top offerings include Captain Barbel, The Last Prince, Encantadia (The Second Saga), Diva, Panday Kids, First Time, and Endless Love.
