Hollywood Stars seek help for "Ondoy" victims

CEBU, Philippines - Hollywood stars appealed to their fellow Americans to offer relief assistance to the victims of tropical storm Ondoy in the Philippines as they expressed their sympathies to the thousands of affected Filipinos.

According to the ABS-CBN news website, international celebs such as Demi Moore, Alyssa Milano and Josh Groban took to the Internet to urge others to extend help.

Demi Moore wrote in her Twitter account that the Filipino victims are in dire need of help. “Typhoon victims in Philippines in dire need of food/clothing. Call the American Red Cross to help. 18004357669,” Moore wrote.

Alyssa Milano tweeted the same message and linked an Associated Press article which reported on the devastation wreaked by Ondoy.

International singer Josh Groban, meanwhile, tweeted: “My heart goes out to my friends in the Philippines.”
