Tanging Ina Meets The Mother For All Seasons

CEBU, Philippines - For the first time in the history of showbiz – two esteemed celebrity mothers will team up in one program.

Tanging Ina Ai-ai delas Alas immediately confirmed her interest to be part of her idol’s “Vilma: A Woman for All Seasons” TV special which will be aired this Saturday (August 15) on ABS-CBN.

When asked about her first reaction on the offer, Ai-ai laughingly answered, “Actually di ko naman masyadong naintindihan nung tumawag sila (production) pero umoo na lang ako kasi si Ate Vi nandodoon. Nung narinig ko yung pangalan niya pumayag agad ako. Hosting pala ang gagawin ko,”

Ai-ai added that it is a great privilege for her to be part of the TV special because she is 100% Vilmanian. Since childhood, Ai-ai has always been a fan of the Star for All Seasons’ movies. She shared, “Pinaka-special saken yung first movie ko kasi um-attend siya nung premiere night. Sobrang touched ako nun.”

The Comedy queen added that she and the Star for All Seasons have many similarities. Ai-ai explained, “Scorpio kasi si Ate Vi at Scorpio din ako so kahit papano alam ko yung ugali niya. Mapagmahal yan sa pamilya, lahat ng ginagawa nya may passion at bilang nanay, nakita naman natin na talagang sweet siya at mapagmahal.” She also says that her only wish for her idol is good health. “Gusto ko lang na wala siyang sakit para lalong lumawak pa yung career niya. Tagahanga niya ako sa maraming bagay.”

Aside from Ai-ai telling the life of Vilma as a mom, sister and friend, this is also the first time that Vilma and her family will open their home in Alabang to the public for an exclusive coverage.

Just like Vilma, Ai-ai is also a mother who deeply loves her family and is rich in life experiences, that’s why she is perfect to host the third episode of the five part special of ‘Vilma: A Woman for All Seasons’, this Saturday (August 15), after ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’ on ABS-CBN.
