CEBU, Philippines - The stars of GMA Network’s primetime program Rosalinda graced the Kapuso Outreach Program held in Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City last August 2.
Geoff Eigenmann and Carla Abellana participated in the gift-giving activity for the event, which was attended by 1,730 people, mostly residents of Brgy. Mambaling.
Two hundred grade school students from various elementary schools and day care centers in the said barangay received the gifts, which included notebooks, bags, and umbrellas. Packed meals and drinks were also served during the half-day event.
Aside from the gifts, the attendees were also able to watch the special Rosalinda screening and were treated to special production numbers from the Rosalinda leads stars and local personalities of GMA TV Cebu – Yurri, Recah, and Cecille Quibod of Balitang Bisdak.
GMA Network also raffled off two 21-inch TV sets to the residents.
Prior to the Kapuso outreach, Abellana and Eigenmann, together with Rosalinda co-star Katrina Halili, graced the “Kapuso Kalingawan: The GMA Telebabad Mall Show” at Ayala Center Cebu.
The controversial Halili was in high spirits, looking far from her tear-stricken self at the height of her sex video scandal, as she bantered with the crowd in between song numbers.
The show at the Ayala Activity Center also had games and surprise production numbers from the talents of the GMA Cebu. According to mall estimates, some 5,000 people watched the mall show.
