Meet believe's Radha

CEBU, Philippines – Radha, named after a goddess in ancient Indian Folk lore, is a young talented singer-songwriter from Manila. Radha believes that singing and performing are what she was born to do. It has become her craft, which she constantly hones, so that she may better express herself.

Performances to her are like great opportunities to learn something new, and she accredits most of what she knows to experience, as well as to the mentoring she has gotten under the greats, in the form of the radio. With each song she performs of her favorite artists, her distinct vocal style is heard in every verse and chorus, thus making it her very own.

Her most promising break came at the age of 15 when she joined as lead singer of the internationally acclaimed group called Kulay, who won countless awards in the Philippines and went on an international tour all over the UK, Germany, Italy, and Denmark which put them on the dance charts in local UK radio and Billboard. 

In 2001, Radha decided to embark on a solo career to pursue her own personal musical style. Since then she has won her own fair share of awards and accolades and is widely respected in the local industry as one of the premiere Soul and R&B artists. Radha was the Katha awardee as Best Female Performer of the Year 2002. She has also explored her songwriting skills by writing for other local artists, as well as writing for her own much anticipated solo album.

Radha joins the cast of BELIEVE, the pop musical, which will have its premiere in Cebu on July 24 and 25 at Onstage Cinema One of Ayala Center 

BELIEVE is co-presented by One World of Music and Light and KAHAYAG Network of Cancer Support Groups with the latter as the beneficiary. The show promotes the creative industry of Cebu City by networking with the prime movers in the fields of fashion with Jun Escario, Protacio, Salvador Malto and furniture design with Kenneth Cobonpue.
