The cast and crew of “Only You” enjoyed themselves while in Korea where they shot several scenes for the upcoming TV series. According to lead actress Angel Locsin, who plays the character Jillian, they needed to get the necessary permit to enable them to shoot. But they had a good time there because the people were very cooperative.
“Pero okay naman po kasi malamig ang weather. Hindi kami pinagpapawisan kaya lang minsan sobrang lamig, hindi na kami makagalaw,” said Angel at the presscon of “Only You” held Tuesday night at the Dolphy Theater located at the ABS-CBN complex.
Angel also said that they ate mostly Korean food but thanks to fellow Filipinos who got wind of their presence in Korea, they gave them Filipino food so they won’t go hungry or get fed up eating spicy Korean food.
When not taping, Angel (together with co-star Iya Villania) would go shopping. There was one shopping escapade wherein she and Iya decided on wearing wigs (anime-style). They thought the Pinoys won’t recognize them. Besides, they didn’t reckon there would be quite a number of Pinoys roaming in the shopping area. Much to their surprise, there were quite a lot, and they were recognized.
“Bonggang-bongga ang mga Pilipino kaya nahihiya kaming nag-explain kasi naka-anime wigs kami ni Iya,” she related.
Even before she started doing “Only You,” Angel already expressed interest to learn how to cook. She’s even planning to enroll in a culinary arts course. “I discovered na masarap magluto and it can be useful for me.”
With regards to her lovelife, Angel said she’s happy with how things are going. “I am very happy with my life. I guess it shows in our faces if we are happy, if we don’t have problems. I am happy with my life. With regards to Luis (Manzano), we are super happy together,” said Angel.

Also at the presscon of “Only You,” many press people noticed Diether Ocampo looking so well.
“I guess I have found the most delicious ingredient there is to complete the recipe of my life. I can say that my life is well-balanced right now. I believe it’s obvious that I am very hapy. It manifests in the way I look and all aspects of my life. All aspects of my life are on the right track,” he said.
After his planned transfer to GMA 7 didn’t push through (rumors said he was offered a huge sum by ABS-CBN to remain with the Kapamilya network), Diether said things happen for a reason. “Only You” was the project that was offered to him after his botched plan to move over to the Kapuso channel.
And he’s happy that he became a part of the cast of “Only You,” which he said is well-made and would appeal to the viewers.
