French-Moroccan singer pays tribute to Boracay
CEBU, Philippines - Moise, a singer-keyboardist from Casablanca, Morocco, has been delighting audiences all over the world with his unique blend of Bossa Nova, Samba, Latin and Reggae music. His international upbringing—Morocco, France and the United States—allows him to sing in French, Brazilian, Spanish and English.
His brand of music has brought him all over the world, performing in such hotels as Sheraton, Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, Hilton, MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Flamingo and Reno Hilton in Reno, Nevada, La Perigourdine, George V Hotel in Paris, Hyatt and La Mamounia in Morocco, Trou Aux Biches, Victoria and St. Geran hotels in Mauritius, among many others. Still and all, he has found a home in the Philippines.
Moise was recently in Cebu to headline the salsa party that marked the opening of the Belo Clinic at Ayala Center Cebu’s The Terraces last Tuesday. He told The FREEMAN Entertainment that apart from falling in love with a Filipina (known interior designer Cynthia Almario), he loves the country and its people because of the musical affinity.
Because Moise spent most of his life living near the ocean, it is only but natural that he fell in love right away with Boracay. He even paid tribute to what has been described as the country’s most high-profile destination through a new album. This album took off after interestingly coming up with a singular song about Boracay, while doing a series of gigs in Lake Tahoe, Nevada in the middle of winter. The album now features all complementary, multi-lingual compositions and some covers that could transport you or better yet accompany you as you bask in the sun, sea, sand and shores of Bora.
Moise is happy to note that his album came out last Saturday, March 14, and is available in record bars nationwide.
