When the city falls in love with Sitti this Valentine's
CEBU, Philippines - The Bossa Nova Fever touches romantic chords on Valentine’s Day with no less than the artist who first infected Filipinos with the passion for the genre.
Sitti Navarro takes the stage of the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) in Mandaue City-Cebu for her first major concert of the year dubbed “Intimate: A Valentine Evening with Sitti – The Philippines Queen of Bossa Nova”. The show begins at 7pm and will feature special guest Lloyd Zaragoza who will serenade the audience with more romantic ballads to keep the romantic ambience.
Fans of both Sitti and Bossa Nova can expect an evening of rehashed / rearranged as well as original songs—mostly the familiar ones mostly popularized by the singer. These include rearranged OPM ballads like Hiram and Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang, Para Sa Akin, Ikaw Pa Rin; the classics Girl From Ipanema, Wave, Fly Me To The Moon, One Note Samba, Lanca Perfume, Close To You/Half A Minute, At 17, Hey Look At The Sun; contemporary greats Tattooed On My Mind, Lost In Space, I Didn’t Know I Was Looking For Love, Invisible War, and just so much more.

Sitti Katrina Baiddin Navarro or simply Sitti (born November 29, 1984), is a classic yet rare example of people endowed with brains, beauty, charm and talent rolled into one. She is best known for her soothing voice with which brought her to various gigs as young as 16 years. Her first album—Café Bossa (2004) was a domestic best-seller.
This talented beauty holds a couple of titles to her name—Miss Visayas 2001 in the “Miss Travel Girl” Pageant, and she was crowned 1st Runner - up in the search for “Miss Silka” in 2004 where she also won both Miss Friendship and Best in Swimwear.
Sitti holds excellent academic track records as her high school paper’s editor-in-chief and class Valedictorian and recipient of numerous awards most notably the Gloria Macapagal - Arroyo Award, The Gerry A. Roxas Leadership Award and the Jose P. Laurel Academic Excellence Award. This twenty-year-old individual, now proudly holds a degree in BS Business Economics from the University of the Philippines in Diliman.
