GMA-7 host and artist Carmina Villaroel clarified rumors that she and Zoren Legaspi have already gotten married.
It was said in the press release given during the launching of the Bioderm Family Germicidal Soap—Carmina’s latest product endorsement—that Carmina and Zoren are finally husband and wife.
It further said that the revelation took place during the press conference and launch of Carmina as the new endorser of Bioderm in Manila last December.
“Sige, i-klaro ko lang. We’re not officially married yet. I don’t want to talk about it. Sasabihin ko naman kung kailan,” Carmina stressed in an interview held at main office of International Pharmaceuticals, Inc., makers of the Bioderm Germicidal Soap, in Mabolo.
After seven years of living together as a family, Carmina said, “Dadating yung perfect time. Mangyari man ngayon o hindi, basta [ang kasal] mangyayari.”
Nevertheless, Carmina is happy and satisfied with the family and life that she has.
“I couldn’t ask for anything more. I have a loving partner, beautiful career and mga cute na twins (Mavy and Cassy). Wala na akong mahihiling pa,” she said.
In managing the family household, Carmina said she and Zoren complement each other. She is the disciplinarian type, while Zoren is the relaxed parent.
Furthermore, she narrated how much she and her family show their love towards each other.
“Hobby na namin ang magku-kumustahan. We always cuddle and say I love you to each other. We always find time na mag-family bonding,” she explained.
She also described how she used every photoshoot or commercial as a form of family bonding.
“It’s through this way na hindi namin mapa-feel sa mga bata na nag-wo-work na sila. Nag-e-enjoy lang kami, trabaho na pala. At tsaka, sa mga kinikita nila, sila mismo ang nag-de-deposit sa mga accounts nila,” she said.
Carmina attested that she is thankful to have been given such family. Though she admitted their relationship isn’t perfect, she makes sure that they all have love, respect and trust for each other.
Apart from being a loving mother and caring wife, Carmina hosts Sis on GMA 7 and Day Off on Qtv11, plus a steady string of product endorsements and projects.
For a mother and artist like Carmina, she does have a unique way of handling both responsibilities.
Thus, should she be given her own Day Off, she would rather just stay at home doing nothing at all. Or perhaps she can tinker with her laptop, watch television and eat popcorn.
“I call it the Duh Day. Sobra kong ninanamnam yun,” she said.
At 34, Carmina has indeed felt contented in her life. But this year 2009, she wishes she can do more endorsements and projects. And maybe make a go at finally becoming Carmina Villaroel-Legazpi?
