Cebu Guitar Festival '08 to gather over 30 musicians at Outpost

The Cebu Guitar Festival is a gathering of over 30 musicians, mostly homegrown, some Manila-based or expatriate all donating their time and talents in the spirit of camaraderie and love for music. Now on its second year, the event will take place at the Outpost on the evenings of November 27 – 29.

November 27 will highlight acoustic guitar and jazz music and will showcase the talents of Junx Muanya and Jonathan Tijano of Hardwood, Edgar Nacua, Tito Quijano, Prudence Salutillo, William Manuz, Jake Carvajal, Lui Castillo and classical guitarist Joel Oporto.

Blues is the theme for Friday, November 28, and featured guitarists will be Arnold Ang and Henry Tradeo of 40, Vince Russo, Paul Cañada, Dondon Luche, Sam Codilla and Carlo Borromeo.

Saturday the 29th will feature Rock, and have the all-star jam with guitarists from all three nights as well as guest Manila musician Noli Aurillo, a veteran of bands such as Coco Jam, Skarlet and Asin. Performers for the evening will include Manny Amador of MNX, Maki Vaño, Randy Pages of Anino, Benjie Rigor, Jon Vistal, Jaan Quijano, Cattski Espina, Edz Anciano, Franklin Veloso, Lorenz Ostrea, David Gonzalez, Mel Santiago, Arciemon of Jr. Kilat.
