Joyce Jimenez: Back and busy as ever

Joyce Jimenez, the original "Pantasya ng Bayan," is back and busy as ever. Since the second week of April, Joyce is appearing regularly at Nuts Entertainment hosted by Joey de Leon, Janno Gibbs and Anjo Yllana. She has also appeared in Wowowee.

"I am flattered because even if I had been away from the limelight for three years, the showbiz has welcomed me back with open arms," says Joyce in an exclusive interview we had with her last Tuesday at her manager''s office. Incidentally, Joyce is also busy managing the fort as Advertising and Promotions Manager of her intimate apparel business, aptly titled "Private Joyce."

Joyce is very pleased that she''s once again active with her showbiz career. She had been inactive for three years ever since she decided to finish college. For the last two and a half years, she was in Australia to finish her course. Although she would do occasional TV guestings, people in showbiz were aware that she was going to school. Now that she''s back, she''s pleased that offers are coming her way.

Her stint in Nuts Entertainment''s summer special episodes gave her the license to don sexy outfits anew. Joyce, who is sexier now (thanks to the procedure done on her by Dr. Vicki Belo), can very well flaunt her sexiness. In fact, she just did a pictorial for FHM Magazine which features her on the cover. The first time she did a pictorial for FHM was in 2002. It''s now 2007 and Joyce feels great to be featured anew in the famed sexy magazine.

"Parang sayang naman din kung hindi pa ako magpapaseksi eh ngayon lang ako pumayat nang husto," says Joyce. "I enjoy myself in Nuts Entertainment because the show is playful. It just happened that we needed to wear something sexy because we''re taping on a beach resort. We have to show some skin. I really feel sexy these days."

Do you find yourself sexier now compared to the time that you did Scorpio Nights 2?

"Yes, I do. I was more voluptuous then. I had a different kind of appeal during the time of Scorpio Nights 2."

If a new version of Scorpio Nights would be offered to you, do you think you''d accept it?

"Probably not since Scorpio Nights 2 is a tough act to follow. It would be hard to top what I did in Scorpio Nights 2 before. But it depends on the concept of a sexy movie and the script. It also would depend on the director and the actor whom I''d be working with. But nobody does sexy movies anymore," she says.

Do you have a boyfriend?

"I am really dating someone, a Fil-Am. He''s the only one I am dating. The only problem is that he''s not based here. It''s a long-distance relationship and it''s kind of hard. I can say that I am dating him because I haven''t gone out with any other guy and he also doesn''t go out on dates with other girls even if we don''t see each other," says the sexy star.

"But I don''t want to say that he''s my boyfriend even if I am not going out with anybody else because he''s not here. But the fact that I am exclusively dating him means something else," she says.

"If ever I meet another guy here, I just have to tell him. And same with him, if ever he meets another girl in Australia. I am exclusively dating him. It''s not that I don''t want to go out with other guys pero siya lang talaga ang guy na talagang nakakausap ko," says Joyce.
