Fast rising and newcomer teen actors Josh Hutcherson, Alexander Ludwig, Mackintosh Muggleton and Dmitry Martinov star in 20th Century Fox’s "FIREHOUSE DOG," "DARK IS RISING," "28 WEEKS LATER" and "DAY WATCH (Dnevnoi Dozor)."
From his notable performance in "Little Manhattan," "Zathura" and "Bridge to Terabithia," Josh Hutcherson is one busy teen actor as he stars anew in the heartwarming family adventure "FIREHOUSE DOG." In the movie, Hutcherson plays the adolescent Shane at odds growing up with his dad, Connor (played by Bruce Greenwood) who is the chief captain of a firehouse station known as Dogpatch. When Dogpatch gets a call to put out a blaze tearing through the lofts where Rex, the lost Hollywood dog star has been hiding, Shane is tasked with finding the mutt’s owner. The pompous, fastidious Rex and the troubled, messy Shane immediately clash. Unaware of Rex’s true identity, Shane becomes his reluctant new master.
Newcomer Mackintosh Muggleton essays an integral role in the rage thriller sequel "28 WEEKS LATER." In the movie, Muggleton plays Andy, a member of a family reunited after the virus in Britain has been destroyed. It has already been six months since the virus wiped out London. British citizens are now returning to District One as part of a U.S. military project to re-populate and re-start the city. But the infection still lives among carriers who show no outward symptoms.
"DARK IS RISING" introduces newcomer Alexander Ludwig as the story’s hero. Based on the acclaimed novel by Susan Cooper, "DARK IS RISING" is the first film adaptation of the author’s acclaimed The Dark Is Rising Sequence. The film tells the story of Will Stanton (Ludwig), a young man who learns he is the last of a group of warriors who have dedicated their lives to fighting the forces of the Dark. Traveling back and forth through time, Will hunts for a series of mysterious clues and encounters forces of unimaginable evil. With the Dark once again rising, the future of the world rests in Will’s hands.
The balance between the forces of light and darkness will be broken by newcomer Dmitry Martinov in the cutting-edge thriller "DAY WATCH (Dnevnoi Dozor)." The movie features the cinematic vision of director/writer Timur Bekmambetov set in contemporary Moscow where an ancient war between the forces of Light and Darkness is reaching a tragic outcome. Each side has gained a powerful Great Other – Martinov plays the role of Yegor who joins the forces of darkness but whose father Anton is with the forces of light.
"FIREHOUSE DOG," "28 WEEKS LATER," "DARK IS RISING" and "DAY WATCH (DNEVNOI DOZOR)" are from 20th Century Fox to be distributed in theaters very soon.
