Will Kris keep her peace?

SHOWBIZ DRIBBLE - Salve V. Asis -
By now the woman being linked to James Yap has appeared and said her piece in Startalk. I wonder how Kris Aquino would react.

Would she make an emotional reply on The Buzz? Or would she keep her peace and let it go? Remember that she checked into a hospital last week after suffering from false labor pains. Any more emotional distress could affect her pregnancy.

In last Sunday's The Buzz Kris only gave broad hints about her husband's infidelity and stressed that she has forgiven him because she wanted to make her marriage work. Subsequent news stories and column items filled in the details.

The girl's name is Hope and she worked as a receptionist in Vicky Belo's clinic. Last week, the establishment's owner went on TV to announce that Hope has been fired.

That, I am sure, will not be the end of it.

The Professional Artists Managers Incorporated headed by June Torrejon has announced that it has accepted the resignation of Angeli Pangilinan from the group. That comes as no surprise. Angeli was understandably upset after Lolit Solis referred to her as "the manager with the dirtiest tactics in country" on the show of DJ Mo.

Tita June said Angeli had indicated her wish to leave the group as early as November 16 through a text message. "Sigh. I wanna quit na talaga. Ayoko na…" Angeli reportedly wrote.

Tita June said the problem is that Angeli never formalized her resignation. "Again, prior to the February 5th PAMI meeting, Ms. Valenciano expressed the same sentiment through a text message to Ms. Rufino adding that her resignation letter is ready and will be sent Friday of that week," Tita June said in her statement announcing Angeli's resignation.

She added that no one objected to the resignation, but the body wanted it formalized. Instead, Angeli went on a media blitz "explaining her various reasons on why she is resigning from PAMI and again stating that her resignation letter will be sent to PAMI to formalize her decision."

Since it has received no resignation letter from Angeli, PAMI took the following actions:

"1. PAMI is hereby accepting Ms. Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano's resignation.

2. PAMI is not responsible and should not be held liable for any of its members' personal opinion whether expressed privately or publicly.

3. PAMI has no unresolved issues as claimed by Ms. Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano.

4. PAMI does not take away valuable time of its members from their family or profession and has in fact been foregoing its scheduled monthly meetings to a maximum of six (6) official meetings a year, as evidenced by meeting records for the entire year of 2006".

Oops! Britney Spears did it again.

Just days after she shaved her head in her latest bizarre mood swing, the pop idol checked into a rehabilitation center in Malibu last week.

Her antic has raised the question: Is Britney freaking out? Perhaps not yet, but she must be getting close to the edge. How else to explain her walking into a beauty salon in Los Angeles and asking that the staff snip off her brunette hair extensions. The beauticians were too stunned to react, so Britney got a set of clippers and snipped away.

According to salon owner Esther Tognozzi, Britney "just looked in the mirror and said with tears in her eyes, 'Oh, my God, I shaved it all off. My mom is going to be so upset with me.'"

Another flabbergasted salon employee said, "After she left the shop we all just looked around and said to each other, 'We just saw a huge celebrity on the verge of a nervous breakdown.'"

After leaving the salon minus her mane, she proceeded to a tattoo parlor and got two tattoos.

It will not be the first time Britney is going into rehab. Earlier, this month she checked into a rehab center in Antigua but left within 24 hours.

Last November the singer had announced plans to divorce rocker Kevin Federline, with whom she has two children. She has since been making one misstep after the other. She was photographed panty-less while getting out of a car, and dozing off in a Las Vegas nightclub during New Year's.

Two weeks after Anna Nicole Smith died in a hotel in Florida, the tug of war over where she should be buried ended after a sobbing judge and rival lawyers agreed she should be laid to rest beside her son in the Bahamas.

Anna Nicole's lover Howard K. Stern, and her estranged mother Virgie Arthur had been battling for custody of the body of the former Playboy model and billionaire's widow.

In issuing the ruling, Fort Lauderdale, Florida Judge Larry Seidlinput gave custody of the body to a lawyer he appointed as a guardian for Smith's five-year-old daughter, spurning both Anna Nicole's mom and Stern.

The girl stands to inherit hundreds of millions of dollars depending on the outcome of a case Anna Nicole filed over the estate of the 89-year-old oil magnate she had married when she was 26.
