Vina and the son of Representative Imee Marcos had a chance encounter Sunday (December 10) at Greenbelt 3 in Makati. Vina was there to watch "Happy Feet" together with her boyfriend. Borgy, on the other hand, was with his girlfriend Ornusa Cadness. It was then the alleged slapping incident took place that was witnessed by a lot of people and even caused a commotion.
According to a source, Vina reportedly said she will just allow Borgy to deny what happened. She said she felt relieved after having slapped Borgy. "I feel better and he deserves that," said our source, quoting Vina. Our source added that Vina said the people inside Greenbelt 3 would know who is telling the truth. A lot of people were there to witness the incident between her and the famous grandson of the former President Ferdinand Marcos. Besides, she would not have done it if he didn't make such a claim that he went to bed with her.
"Alam naman ng tao kung sino ang nagsasabi ng totoo eh. Masasampal ko ba naman siya, 'di ba? I mean, [para] sa akin, marami namang taong nakakita e. So gusto niyang magsinungaling, kasalanan niya 'yon sa mga tao. Ako, I'm just being honest and I feel good," our source quoted Vina as saying.
She even added that a lot of people gave her the thumbs up sign for doing what she did because what Borgy did, on the other hand, was "ungentlemanly." But Borgy had said sorry to her and she has forgiven him.
She got the Silver Medal for Basic Skills in Cooking and the Gold Medal for Advanced Cooking Skills at the Center for Asian Culinary Studies located in San Juan, Metro Manila. The graduation rites took place recently.
"I really want to experience what it is like to do-OJT (on-the-job training). Kung gaano kahirap at kung gaano kahaba talaga yung pasensiya ko pag nag-OJT ako," said Juday.
And the award-winning actress (who appears in the filmfest entry "Kasal Kasali Kasalo" under Star Cinema) enjoyed herself immensely in her cooking class. "Kasi wala kang ibang iisipin kung hindi yung ingredients lang. Hindi ka mag-iisip ng problema, hindi mo kailangan i-motivate yung sarili mo-kung kailangan mong maging masaya dito or kailangan mong maging malungkot. Pag nagluluto ka, ang kalan at ingredients lang ang iisipin mo," said Juday who co-stars with real-life boyfriend Ryan Agoncillo in the Jose Javier Reyes flick about a newly-married couple.
Juday wouldn't want to confirm rumors that a brand new kitchen showcase is Ryan's gift to her. She said she's still making lambing to her so he would indeed give her a kitchen showcase as gift this Christmas. She's planning to show him brochures so that Ryan would have an idea that it is that she wants for Christmas.
In this film directed by Joel Lamangan and written by Abi Lam-Parayno, Dode Cruz and Andrew Paredes, Christian plays Timothy a.k.a. Felix Yan, the Chinese childhood sweetheart of Charity, a Tsinay, (Angel Locsin) who is in love with a 100-percent Pinoy vet named Nathan (Richard Gutierrez).
Acting is not a new venture of this multi-talented performer and Asian pop idol. It would be recalled that Christian played one of the leading men of Anne Curtis in the teleserye "Kampanerang Kuba." He trained and acted in several productions of Trumpets under the direction of mentors Audie Gemora and Carlo Orosa.
Christian felt completely at home with his role as a singer in "Mano Po 5". There were scenes that were second nature to him, like the part where Timothy dedicates a song to Charity on television. "Ang kailangan ko lang lagyan pa ay yung love interest ko kay Angel," Christian admitted.
He has other interesting sequences like his battle with Richard wherein both guys wore Chinese costumes (and eySe makeup, too!) and were hoisted on harnesses as they kicked and threw punches at each other. Christian and Richard had a blast filming that as they felt like real martial arts experts, while the rest of the cast and staff watched in awe at the two actors thoroughly enjoying themselves.
Christian also liked the entire motion picture process - from mastering his Chinese lines to shooting on location and at the studios and dubbing at the post-production house.
Every "Mano Po" movie has a theme song and a colorful music video and "Mano Po 5: Gua Ai Di" is no exception. Who better to ask to sing the theme song than Christian himself? He plays the piano and sings in the music video of "My Heart Has a Mind of Its Own," the "Gua Ai Di" theme song that is also a cut from Christian's latest Warner Music album, "Completely," that is, has been, by the way, released in the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.
"My Heart Has a Mind of Its Own," which started airing only days ago in MYX, is quickly becoming one of the music channel's most requested songs.
"Mano Po 5" opens in theaters nationwide on December 25. "Mano Po 5: Gua Ai Di" also stars Lorna Tolentino, Gina Alajar, Tirso Cruz III, Jaclyn Jose, Ethel Booba, Ketchup Eusebio, AJ Dee, Ella Guevara, Michelle Madrigal and many more.
