Pinoy meets World: Sushmita Sen and other beautiful sights to behold in India
July 15, 2006 | 12:00am
Twelve years have passed, yet 1994 Miss Universe Sushmita Sen's unforgettable beauty has neither faded nor aged at all. But don't take my word for it; see for yourself in her exclusive interview featured in GMA Network's Pinoy Meets World tomorrow, July 16.
Pinoy Meets World host, Miriam Quiambao, the 1999 Miss Universe First Runner-Up herself, will visit Sushmita in the set of her latest movie in India for an exclusive one-on-one. Find out the many changes in the exciting life of the model-turned-beauty-queen-turned-Bollywood star.
Apart from meeting with Sushmita, Miriam and her PMW co-host, Paolo Bediones, will also tour the exotic country of India. They will visit Amber Fort, which was the old castle of the Emperor of Rajhastan, and the Jain Temple, the shrine of the religion that originated in India.
Also get to know the food carriers of Mumbai-the men famous all over the world for their unique talent: Everyday, beginning 10AM until the afternoon, these men visit the house of each of their valued customers to pick up freshly-cooked meals, which they would then take on the train heading for the offices of each of their customers' spouses. These men can neither read nor write, yet they can certainly be relied upon to deliver the food to the right persons at the right time.
Paolo's startling experience on the road to Delhi when he encountered a dust storm is also something to watch out for. The dust storm brought with it heavy rain showers and forceful winds, which even caused gigantic trees to fall over and block the streets.
Paolo will also visit Chandi Chowk, the well-known Spice Market of Delhi where practically all sorts of spices you can think of can be bought. Meanwhile, Miriam would experience what it's like to wear a saree in Dader.
Pinoy Meets World will also feature the Tadhani family, a good example of the successful union between Indians and Pinoys, as well as a number of Pinoy musicians working in a famed hotel in Mumbai.
Catch all of these interesting sights and people tomorrow night on Pinoy Meets World, after Ang Mahiwagang Baul on GMA-7.
