A fairytale ending for Kim

-
Dressed in a white, glittering gown, Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu or more popularly known as Kim, the Chinese Cutie from Cebu, to televiewers realized her own fairytale by garnering an overwhelming 626,562 (41.4%) votes to become the winner of the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition last Saturday night at the Aliw Theatre.

Mikee Lee of Quezon City, Gerald Anderson of General Santos and Clare Cabiguin of Bukidnon came in first, second and third place, respectively, of the third version of the popular ABS-CBN program, which kicked off last April 23.

Kim was welcomed back into the real world by her father and sisters. She is the second big winner from Cebu province, next to Celebrity Edition victor, the Danao-native Keanna Reeves.

The pretty chinita, whose lifestory has been likened to a "Chinovela" when she entered the PBB house, has endeared herself to fans with her talents, naivety, cheerfulness, and willingness to take on any challenge posed by Pinoy Big Brother. While inside the house, she said that she believes that she has enough talent and will power to take on Big Brother's tasks. "Gusto ko maging artista. Gusto ko din makita sa TV at patunayan sa mama ko, sa tita ko, sa mga tao na may talent ako. Pwede ako sumayaw, kumanta at umarte. I can play the guitar."

While inside Kuya's house, Kim recorded the Pinoy version of her favorite Chinese song, Peng You, ("Kaibigan") alongside her music idols, the hitmaking duo of Juris and Chin of MYMP.

The 16-year-old, who's a student at Cebu Cherish Chinese School, took home P1 million, a condo unit from St. Monique plus eight-day vacation courtesy of Sea Air and Holiday Inn.
