Even if she's just here on vacation, Ruffa managed to squeeze in some time from her busy schedule to spearhead a charitable work for her kababayans who were affected by the landslide in Leyte. The venue of the bazaar was packed, as the people were curious to see the celebrities who manned the booths.
Among those who set up a stall to sell their personal items were Ruffa's brothers Richard and Raymond Gutierrez, plus her celebrity friends Gretchen Barretto, Donita Rose, Sharon Cuneta, Richard and Lucy Torres Gomez, Loren Legarda, and Alma Concepcion, just to name a few.
And with the huge crowd that turned up, it was a nightmare for the security personnel tasked to secure the area. The bazaar was supposed to open at 1pm but they had to open at 10am because a huge throng had already camped outside the venue and the organizers feared a stampede might ensue if they won't allow the people to enter the venue.
Unfortunately, several unscrupulous individuals took advantage of the situation to cart away several items and some were successful to go away unnoticed. Several items were lost and some people just took some of the items without paying for it. One of Ruffa's gowns was nearly carted away by somebody if not for an alert soul who confronted the person who had the gown in his possession.
Even if there was an entrance fee of P300, close to 2,000 persons came to bazaar to look around, buy some items or just go stargazing and ogle at the celebrities who graced the event. The ticket sales amounted to P600,000 and P400,000 were earned from the sales of the bazaar.
Ruffa will go to the UNICEF office today at 11am to 12 noon at the UN Children's Fund at the 31st Floor, Yuchengco Tower, RCBC Plaza, Buendia Avenue corner Ayala Avenue in Makati City and at the Red Cross at the 2nd Floor, PNRC Building, Bonifacio Drive, Port Area Manila at 2pm, respectively to personally hand over the proceeds of the bazaar.

The "precious gems" are Claudine Barretto, Kristine Hermosa, Bea Alonzo, Shaina Magdayao, Angelica Panganiban and Maja Salvador. We wonder for what magazine is the pictorial.
We heard that Heart Evangelista was supposed to be part of the pictorial but since she has left Star Magic and is now being managed by Manila Genesis, it could be why she was replaced by Maja.
There's nothing wrong with Maja being chosen to be part of the group but they could have picked either Rica Peralejo or Angelika dela Cruz since they are more senior than Maja. But then, there was a time that the loyalty of Rica and Angelika to Star Magic was rather questionable so this was probably the reason why they were not chosen to be part of the pictorial.
But the actor promptly denied the rumors. Diether says it's not him who is being referred to in the blind items. The rumor is baseless and totally untrue.
According to Diether, the mother of his child is not pregnant. They do still communicate with each other for the benefit of their son. They need to talk regarding the future of their child, therefore they have not yet totally cut their connection with each other if only for the child's sake.
Then there's really no basis for Diet to be besieged by such kind of intrigue that he has gotten the mother of his child pregnant anew, especially that it seems he's still carrying the torch for Kristine Hermosa despite their desire to have their alleged marriage annulled. He insists that Kristine is the only woman in his life. And they are doing well in their relationship as they're trying to work and iron out the kinks that caused them problems in the past.
