GO, Jimmy!

-
Tonight is the night of reckoning of ABS-CBN and Viva Entertainment's "Search for the Star in a Million." Will Cebuano Jimmy Marquez hit this once-in-a-lifetime chance of singing stardom and join the league of champions like Sarah Geronimo, Erik Santos, Rachelle Ann Go, Frenchie Dy and Jerome Sala?

Find out tonight at 7pm as Jimmy Marquez endeavors to make his hometown proud via a live ABS-CBN telecast of the second season of the reality TV search of the country's next music powerhouses at Aliw Theater.

According to close friends, Jimmy is now feeling slightly tense but nevertheless upbeat. After all, the 23-year-old singer from Toledo City promises to hurdle the three rounds of the contest with soulful confidence that has undeniably marked his past performances-tough competition from Fil-Am R&B singer Kris Lawrence and NAMCYA alumnae from Iloilo City Tata Villaruel notwithstanding.

For the first round, where they will get to render a song of their choice, Jimmy will be singing Somewhere, Sometime, while for the second round, he will do a duet with Ella Mae Saison and for the final round, he will get to randomly pick a song from a bowl of 10 choices.

Win or lose, Jimmy is already a victor in his own right, as he is already swamped with bookings after the contest proper. After the finals night, friends said that he hopes to head home to share the success he has so far achieved in the entertainment capital with his fellow Cebuanos.

SIAM is hosted by Mark Bautista, Rachelle Ann Go, Erik Santos, and Cebuana Sheryn Regis with judges Ms. Agot Isidro, Wyngard Tracy and Rowell Santiago.
