Largest Digimap store opens in Cebu
Digimap, the Apple-authorized reseller under retail conglomerate Mitra Adiperkasa (MAP) Group, has opened its largest retail location in the Visayas at Ayala Center Cebu, reinforcing its strategic expansion across key growth markets in the Philippines.
The launch of the new flagship store—Digimap’s third in Cebu and over 20th nationwide—signals the company’s push to deepen its presence in urban retail hubs.
The 3rd-level Ayala Center Cebu store offers the full spectrum of Apple’s product ecosystem, including iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, Apple Watches, AirPods, and accessories, in a space designed for both retail and immersive learning.
“Cebu has consistently proven to be a vital growth market,” said Anton Gonzalez, President of Digimap Philippines, during the store’s formal opening.
“This flagship location enables us to deliver a more comprehensive Apple experience through personalized service, product education, and dedicated customer engagement,” Gonzalez noted.
As the consumer electronics sector continues to experience robust demand in Southeast Asia, Digimap’s expansion reflects a broader retail strategy to localize access to premium technology and after-sales support.
The store features dedicated service areas, interactive demo zones, and learning spaces that encourage hands-on discovery and tailored guidance.
To commemorate the June 28 launch, Digimap is offering promotional bundles and discounts, including up to 50 percent off select accessories until July 31, 2025.
These incentives align with Digimap’s efforts to offer more competitive entry points for Apple’s typically premium-priced products.
Digimap entered the Philippine market in March 2023 under MAP Group, a leading Indonesian lifestyle retailer with over 3,500 stores and a portfolio of 150 brands.
In just over two years, Digimap has established itself as a major player in the Philippine tech retail space, leveraging MAP’s operational infrastructure and customer engagement philosophy.
Aside from the flagship in Cebu, Digimap’s local footprint includes stores in Robinsons Fuente and Il Corso, as well as a marquee outlet at One Ayala in Makati, which opened in late 2023.
The company plans to add more locations across the country by the end of 2025.
“Our aim is to make Apple’s technology more approachable—whether through flexible financing, trade-in options, or knowledgeable service associates,” added Gonzalez.
Digimap’s approach borrows from MAP Group’s successful retail concepts in sports and lifestyle through brands like Planet Sports, Foot Locker, New Balance, Hoka, and Skechers. This influence is evident in Digimap’s commitment to creating a vibrant and welcoming store experience, blending tech retail with lifestyle sensibilities.
The company’s tagline, “Live. Play. Connect.” encapsulates its mission to align cutting-edge Apple technology with the evolving digital lifestyles of Filipino consumers.
