CEBU, Philippines —  Fiber broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is strengthening its nationwide fiber infrastructure by adopting advanced data transmission technology from NASDAQ-listed Ribbon Communications Inc. to meet the growing demand for high-speed, low-latency, and reliable internet connectivity.

Converge is integrating Ribbon’s Muse Multilayer Automation Platform (MAP), a cutting-edge solution that maximizes the value of IP Optical network investments through advanced control, analysis, design, and planning applications. Equipped with powerful low-code automation and customization engines, this platform enables Converge to optimize its resources, enhance operational efficiency, and maintain peak network performance.

“We are planning significant enhancements to the products and services we offer our customers, and ensuring that our infrastructure can support these developments is essential. Adopting this new technology is crucial for managing the increasing volume of data from IoT applications, cloud services, and future innovations,” said Dennis Anthony Uy, CEO and Co-Founder of Converge.

The collaboration between Converge and Ribbon began with integrating Ribbon’s cutting-edge 5 nanometer (nm) – 140Gbaud transmission chipset, which boosted Converge’s network capacity to 1.2 Terabits per second (Tbps).

Initially rolled out in metro and regional sites across North and Central Luzon, this technology is now being deployed nationwide, significantly enhancing Converge’s overall data transmission capacity and operational capabilities.

“We are proud to support Converge in enhancing its network, which is recognized as one of the most advanced in the Philippines. Our cutting-edge technology delivers exceptional performance, helping Converge strengthen its competitive edge,” said Bruce McClelland, CEO and President of Ribbon Communications.

By leveraging Ribbon’s AI capabilities and Muse platform, Converge is accelerating its journey toward full network automation.

According to Uy this move ensures the company’s fiber network is future-ready capable of supporting next-generation services such as high-speed broadband, cloud applications, and enterprise solutions.

The Texas-based Ribbon Communications Inc., is a global leader in real-time communications technology and IP optical networking solutions, enabling large service providers and enterprises to modernize and secure their networks.
