“Grow with Metrobank” campaign earns Stevie Award
CEBU, Philippines — Universal bank, Metrobank has earned global recognition with a Gold Stevie Award for its impactful ‘Grow With Metrobank’ campaign at the 2024 International Business Awards (IBA).
The bank’s winning campaign was lauded for its unique storytelling approach, highlighting the growth journeys of both customers and Metrobank employees.
The campaign, which was awarded in the Video for Financial Services-Banking category, featured two distinct parts: a customer story video and a series of culture videos showcasing Metrobank’s customer-first philosophy.
The customer story video focused on how the bank has supported clients’ success stories, while the culture videos offered a behind-the-scenes look at Metrobank’s employee-driven commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Metrobank’s ‘Grow With Metrobank’ campaign was the only Philippine entry to win in the category, standing out among a pool of over 3,600 nominations from 62 countries.
The campaign’s success is seen as a testament to Metrobank’s strong brand image and its dedication to customer-centric values.
The campaign’s success highlights Metrobank’s robust brand reputation and commitment to customer-focused values.
One Stevie Award judge noted the campaign’s success in translating abstract banking services into tangible benefits, emphasizing its relatable, bite-sized format that resonated with viewers. “What resonated the most in this nomination was the ‘culture of care’ within the organization, which is evident in their 360-degree approach to feedback, drawing on the insights of both customers and employees,” the judge stated.
Another judge highlighted the significance of the campaign’s people-centric message, particularly the employee reaction video, which showcased genuine, motivational responses from Metrobank staff. “The ultimate goal of a bank is to grow, and in order to succeed, its customers must be taken care of and grow along with it,” the judge added.
“These videos, inspired by the success stories of our clients, reflect our commitment to being a trusted financial partner. They demonstrate how we create a positive ripple effect on our clients’ lives, their communities, and the country at large,” said Metrobank Chief Marketing Officer Digs Dimagiba.
Dimagiba emphasized that the Gold Stevie Award is a validation of Metrobank’s ongoing efforts to prioritize customer care and service excellence.
The prestigious Gold Stevie was received by Metrobank’s senior leadership, including Bea Oliveros-Olba, Brand Development Officer; Estela Calderon, Corporate Affairs Head; Ann Gregorio, PR and Corporate Communications Head; and Micah Alvarez, Corporate Affairs Officer.
