CEBU, Philippines —  Ford Philippines reported 13 percent sales growth in March 2022, compared to the same period last year.

Driving the robust sales despite the pandemic are Ford Ranger and Ford Territory models.

Ford Territory reaches 10,000th customer milestone with sales reaching 10,758 units since launch

With its strong retail performance in the previous quarter and in the previous month, the Ford Territory remained the leader in the small SUV segment, with an average quarterly market share of 54 percent and a 63 percent market share in March.

“We are off to a great start this year as we see the growing popularity of our Ford vehicle lineup among our customers, particularly the Ford Territory which continues to be one of the best-selling SUVs in the market today,” said  Mike Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines.

“With the easing of travel restrictions and increased demand for safe mobility, we are optimistic that we will maintain the momentum in the next quarter together with our Ford dealers nationwide,” he added.

“Our 10,000th Ford Territory sales milestone is truly an outstanding feat and would not be possible without the immense support from all Ford Territory owners. We are very excited for what’s to come for the Ford Territory in the country, and we look forward to seeing more Filipino customers own the moment with the Ford Territory,” Breen noted.

With its sleek and stylish design, impressive performance, and driver-assist technologies, the Ford Territory has become the new standard for small SUVs.

The growing community of Ford Territory owners have lauded its capabilities and features, which include the panoramic moonroof, 360-Degree Around View Monitor, Blind Spot Information System, 10-inch infotainment system, and Apple Carplay with wireless connectivity feature and Android Auto Capability.

The American car maker, is also set to sustain its momentum with the launches of the next-generation Ford Ranger and next-generation Ford Everest in the second half of the year, alongside new customer service innovations that will enhance the ownership experience.

Meanwhile, the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) recorded a 17 percent growth of new car sales in February 2022.

Data shows that CAMPI-TMA members moved 24,304 units in February, up from the 20,765 units sold in January. Sales in the passenger car (PC) segment reached 5,914 units, while commercial vehicle (CV) sales reached 18,390 units—an increase of 2.25 percent and 22.8 percent, respectively.
