Developer vows to pursue projects to spur economy

CEBU, Philippines —  Property developer Taft Property Venture Development Corporation (Taft Properties) commits to help spur economic activities by pursuing projects amid the health crisis.

Taft Properties chairman Jack Gaisano said the company pursues its commitment to Cebuanos to continue planned developments, even amid the pandemic also expressing confidence of the sustained vigor of the real estate market.

Gaisano led the recently concluded ceremonial topping off of East Gate Tower 1, at its mini-township development, the Taft East Gate in a blended event (digital and physical).

This early, the over 100 floors has reached its 41st, a commitment of continuity amid the pandemic, Gaisano said.

Once completed, East Gate will have four towers. It will have condominiums, offices, and a hotel anchored by EastGate Shoppers, their notable retail solution that puts enterprises in the way of a ready and sizable customer base.

According to Gaisano, the topping off marks the company’s vertical journey despite the odds in this time of the pandemic as they continue to stay committed on delivering properties that will cater to the Cebuano market.

The topping off was held at the East Gate Showroom, at Cardinal Rosales Ave., corner Pope John Paul II Avenue in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

 The property development of the Metro Gaisano group, will open the first tower building on the 1.5 hectares development.

The entire development is anchored within the 10-year masterplan, which consists of four towers that have retail components, residential, office buildings, serviced-apartments, and a hotel.

Taft Properties started the project in 2018. The retail component will be opened soon which will jumpstart the creation of an integrated community within the main business district.

The 2,500 square meters retail leasable spaces will provide a unique mixed of tenants, to be carefully curated in such a way that offerings are one-of-a-kind in Cebu.

The four-tower development will be anchored by Taft East Gate Mall. On top of the mall podium is the Sky Plaza, the expansive amenity deck overlooking Cebu City.

In an earlier interview Gaisano said that Taft Properties’ vision of a community that embodies the best aspects of the company’s MicroTownship concept – the standard which ensures that Taft’s projects are placed only on transit-oriented and strategic locations – is perfectly captured in Taft East Gate.
