CEBU, Philippines — With promising outlook for food and beverage sector in the Philippines, Cebu-based Harbour City Dimsum House Co., Inc. (HCDHCI) eyes more locations in 2020.

The group, which operates restaurants brands Ding How Dimsum House, Ding Qua Qua, Harbour City, and Dimsum Break opened its 36th branch at the Ayala Malls Central Bloc, Cebu IT Park.

According to HCDHCI President Raymond Kokseng, the group is eyeing four more locations for this year, two in Cebu, one in Tacloban City and one is Butuan City in Mindanao.

In its new Ding How Dimsum House in AyalaMalls Central Bloc, the company rolled out a new dining innovation, called digital ordering system.

With this new ordering system, their the individual screens allow one to view the Ding How menu, place an order, and engage in trivia, history, and multimedia visuals of Ding How.

The new system, rolling out at Ding How’s newest branch in Ayala Central Bloc, IT Park, upgrades customer convenience when ordering, allowing the diner to order at their own pace, and informing them of the waiting time before food is served.

“Our commitment has always been two-fold: preserving the rich story of Ding How dishes, and improving dining experience. Digital innovation was the natural next step for us and we will strive for even better ways to bring Cebu’s iconic dimsum to our customers,” said Kokseng.

Ding How first opened in 1969 along Colon Street where the original Cebu staple “Steamed Fried Rice’’ was created, and was first to introduce the dim sum in Cebu as we know it, serving all-day instead of only as traditional lunch fare. It reopened its doors in 2017 to those excited to relive the old dimsum house experience in a relaxed and casual setting as part of a growing portfolio of brands under Harbour City Group which include its other dining concepts Harbour City, Dimsum Break, and Ding Qua Qua.
