CEBU, Philippines — Cebu’s first ocean theme park will finally open very soon at the South Road Properties (SRP).

Cebu Sealife Park Inc., also the developer of the country’s first ever marine theme park, the Manila Ocean Park, announced that the Cebu Ocean Park will feature the largest oceanarium in the Philippines.

The oceanarium is seven-meter deep, which also showcases a 360-degree viewing tunnel that houses thousands of the world’s most amazing marine species.

According to the company, Cebu and the rest of the islands in Visayas will soon experience the ocean adventure and its all-inclusive educational and experiential tour in this world-class marine attraction.

Cebu Ocean Park is geared towards becoming an all-year and all-season destination for both local and international tourists.

This facility at SRP is seen to attract educational, interactive tours for students.

It also boasts of its experiential marine life journey through its different attractions and encounters programs. Guests could also witness other fascinating animals at the Jungle Trek and Creepy Critters.

Guests also have the chance to get up-close to the animals at the Fish Spa, Bird Feeding and Stingray Interaction, Crocodile Encounter and Sea Trek.

Cebu Ocean Park also banners its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program called “I Love My Ocean Planet,” which encourages volunteerism, public education and community mobilization activities designed to increase public awareness and action on coastal management issues.

Its CSR program also aims at instilling pride in the Philippines natural resources. “It is an expanded responsibility of stewardship not only with marine biodiversity but also with other creatures that are dependent on the wellness of the ocean.”

The company said Cebu Ocean Park is fully aware of its obligation to reach a broad public and impart necessary information relevant to current environmental issues.

Cebu Ocean Park is situated in a 1.5 hectares area adjacent to the SM Seaside Cebu complex at the SRP.

The marine theme park will open as soon as the necessary permits will be completed.
