Dynamic Group ventures into wastewater solutions
CEBU, Philippines — Companies in Cebu are now investing heavily in making their respective organizations socially responsible, particularly on adhering to environmental requirements.
The water solutions arm of Dynamic Group of Companies observed that more businesses in Cebu, particularly resorts, hotels, restaurants, residential developers, hospitals, commercial centers and other industries are setting up their own sewage treatment plant (STP) not only to comply with the government’s requirement, but also they are becoming more socially conscious now, said Dynamic Power director Marilou Ngo Ang.
“With the current environmental issues regarding wastewater management, we are now venturing into Sewage Treatment solutions,” said Ngo-Ang in a press conference
The Dynamic Power Sewage Treatment System is a compact packaged sewage wastewater treatment, AO biological treatment process for properties of 100 up to 4000 people equivalent.
Each wastewater treatment plant includes a primary settlement, biological treatment and final settlement processes all in one compact unit.
“With the STP system, clients are guaranteed to meet the standard requirements for discharge of pollutants set by DENR to acquire the necessary permits and avoid heavy penalty,” she said.
In tourism alone, what happened to Boracay served as the operators’ example on the government’s strong stance in monitoring companies that are not complying with environment requirement such as STP.
A company’s investment on installing its own STP depends on the plant’s capacity and size of the operation. For a 20-cubic-meter capacity plant, investment is estimated within the range of P1.5 million.
Ngo Ang reiterated that awareness is higher now compared to the past, as environmental requirements are already of the important budget priorities for companies.
The Dynamic Group of companies, owned by the Ngo family, started its business in Mandaue as construction solutions provider, specializing on castings, now operates several subsidiaries servicing in diverse industries such as water solutions technology, shipbuilding, power, among others. (FREEMAN)
