Local coffee shop gets more franchise inquiries
CEBU, Philippines — After its successful entry in Qatar, Cebuano coffee shop brand Bo’s Coffee attracts more interested franchisees from other countries.
According to Bo’s Coffee president Steve Benitez more than expanding the business, this development allows Philippine coffee origin to reclaim its name in the global coffee market.
Benitez said that while there are a lot of capitalists around the world who expressed interest to get master franchise in their respective countries, no concrete deals have been finalized yet.
Like his entry to Qatar, it took the company years to finally open at least two outlets in the Middle Eastern market, Benitez said.
At present, Bo’s Coffee is preparing to open five more branches in Qatar in partnership with Qatari company Almajed, as the country prepares for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
One of the new stores is going to be in City Center Mall, and the other four will be in major subway stations in Qatar, Benitez added.
Before the company accepts interested franchisees in other countries, Benitez said it is conducting market feasibility studies in different states, specifically those that have strong Filipino presence.
“We are realizing our vision and living our mission as we share our unique Filipino coffee experience by highlighting our Philippine Coffee Origins globally,” noted Benitez.
With this global expansion, Bo’s hopes to bring to the world market, not only the aroma of Philippine-coffee, but also the local products made by Filipino artisans.
Bo’s Coffee has been promoting and supporting locally made products, particularly those produced by social enterprises by showcasing their merchandizes in its over a 100 stores nationwide, including its overseas brand in Qatar. (FREEMAN)
