Billion-peso center to address Cebu office space shortage

CEBU, Philippines - Local developers have formally introduced its billion-peso high-rise office building at the Cebu Business Park (CBP), responding to the need for more office space facilities in Cebu.

Cebu Landmasters Incorporated (CLI), in partnership with Borromeo Bros Estate, unveiled recently the 24-story corporate building project named Lattitude Corporate Center, which is scheduled for completion in the next two and a half years.

CLI chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) Jose Soberano III said this project will raise the bar for office space facilities in Cebu because of its design which follows and eco-friendly platform. The building is registered under BERDE green building rating system. BERDE stands for Building for Ecological Responsive Design Excellence, which is the Philippines' version of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).

According to Soberano, CLI and Borromeo Bros are responding to the pressing need for upscale and modern office spaces in Cebu, which is fueled by the demand for outsourcing and other industries that have made Cebu their regional business hub.

Lattitude Corporate Center is a Grade A office building registered under the Philippine Economic Zone Authority and will sit on a 3,000-sqaure meter property at the CBP. It will offer future-ready spaces for business of all sizes.

Borromeo Bros Estate, which has been in the real estate development business in Cebu for over 50 years, has partnered with CLI for its expertise in development and management of modern real estate projects.

Borromeo Bros president Jonel Borromeo said that aside from catching the growing BPO office market, Lattitude Corporate Center is also seen to attract start-up businesses, which need official and prestigious business address.

Lattitude Corporate Center joins other corporate building and integrated development rosters of CLI, which include Park Centrale in Cebu IT Park.

CLI is also part of the Cebuano consortium called El Camino Developers Cebu Inc., which is currently building a P5 billion to P6 billion residential and office buildings also at CBP. (FREEMAN)
