Young entrepreneurs invest in residential properties

CEBU, Philippines - Emerging entrepreneurs and rising professionals comprise the bulk of those who have acquired new homes at Astana, the latest property development project of Johndorf Ventures Corporation, disclosed a company official.

Most of these new homeowners run their trade in and from Cebu, and are working as supervisors and young managers in companies operating Cebu, while a few are professionals abroad, mostly in the Middle East, disclosed Michele D. Chiu, sales and marketing manager of the company.

“They are relatively young who have already reaped successes in their fields,” Chiu said, adding that it is pleasing for them to note that the young generation now already invest in residential properties even when they have yet to get married, than in depreciating properties.

“As you progress and continue to soar in your endeavors,  time is now for you to invest in a better home,” Chiu would advise the others who have yet to think about making wise investments.

The JVC official also pointed out that Astana has been designed to meet the needs of new families. “The new parents will find Astana safe and very friendly to young children,” she said.

Chiu said the low interest loans offered by the Home Mutual Development Fund, or Pag-IBIG, is helping them generate good sales with Astana townhomes among young professionals and the traditional market.

Much more as Astana offers “promising urban achievers the comfortable and affordable Asian living they yearn for,” she added.

Johndorf launched only last July 12 Astana, a new subdivision south of Mactan where the company planned to create "A New Wave in Asian Living."

It unveiled then the model units at the site in Calawisan, Lapu-Lapu City near Hanniyah Homes, a completed project of JVC subsidiary Prohomes Development, Inc. in adjacent Barangay Babag.

Built in a 3-hectare property and designed for 413 townhouse units, the company has since sold 40 percent of its inventory, “a testament to the confidence of our buyers and sellers to the quality of Johndorf’s way of developing properties,” said Chiu.

She said this is driven by the company’s vision to be the "Leader in Quality Living for Every Filipino."

Johndorf has been developing subdivisions for over 25 years, building better communities in northern Mindanao, plus eight villages in Cebu under Prohomes before its full acquisition from a joint venture. (FREEMAN)
