Carolinians top DyKC singing competition
CEBU, Philippines - RPN DyKC Cebu has successfully held its Boses Tinig Pinoy Search in Acapella (Duet and Trio) last Jan.17 at J. Centre Mall in Mandaue City with Manila celebrities Aileen Papin, John Nite and Mr. Anthony Castelo as hosts.
The tandem of Jose Thaddeus Roble III and Sheena Luz Comabig topped the Duet contest while the group of Ian Mark Corales, Driane Paul Saberon and Nina Claire Rivaca was the best Trio. All of them are from the University of San Carlos.
The winners captivated the audience and judges with their voice quality, stage performance, timing and choreography as well as their perfect selection of songs.
They will represent RPN DyKC Cebu in the national contest which will be participated by winners from the other 11 RPN Radio Stations nationwide.
The winners of Boses Tinig Pinoy Quarterly Finals were chosen by a panel of judges composed of Coach Jay Unchuan – The Ultimate Celebrity Vocal Coach of Center for Pop, Kirk Philip Tarona of Montebello Villa Hotel, Nino Matillano of Dept. of Education, Jeffrey Comillas – Band Member and Ariel Libo-on – formerly a CCTN Ch.47 Talent.
Present during the Boses Quarterly Finals were RPN Manila Officials, Regional Operations Manager – Mr. Nestor Sandoval, Treasury Manager – Mrs. Aida Cabrera and Engineering Manager – Eng’r. Rene Allarde, and RPN DXKP Pagadian Station Manager Mr. Pangan.
Boses Tinig Pinoy, the nationwide search for the best in Acapella singing competition, is the brainchild of RPN President and CEO, Robert T. Rivera to develop young and talented individuals, to help them excel in their talent in music.
The grand winners which will be known come March 19 at the SM Aura will win a recording contract with Universal/ Polyeast Records among other prizes. (FREEMAN)
