Spa and wellness forum

CEBU, Philippines - The Spa and Wellness Association of Cebu Inc (SWAC), the only association in Cebu that brings together the industry players in the spa and wellness industry, is conducting a Spa and Wellness Forum at the CHD-7 Training Center of DOH, Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City, from 8:00a.m.-5p.m. on November 14.

This is open to existing spa, massage, beauty and wellness centers, as well as wellness suppliers, wellness professionals, wellness advocates and interested spa investors.

Janny Berends,, a PUM international expert in spa and wellness from Europe, will educate participants on the true meaning of SPA, the international way of handling customers, as well as opportunities for growth in the industry.

The Department of Trade and Industry will review business name, and share the present initiatives to develop and integrate all players in the Health and Wellness Tourism Value Chain, and promote environmentally-friendly practices to help reduce operational costs.

The Department of Health will give the latest guidelines for the licensing of massage therapists, the deadline of which is on December 31, 2014.
