Colours awards winners of photo contest

CEBU, Philippines - Colours Digital Foto awarded the winners and finalists of the Colours of  L.I.F.E. Photo Contest last Oct. 4 at the Colours Digital Shop, SM City Cebu.

Photo enthusiasts from Cebu, Bohol, Leyte and Cagayan de Oro joined the Colours of L.I.F.E. Photo Contest which was launched last June 1, 2013.

The contest which featured 4 categories: L (Love and Relationships), I (Interest and Hobbies), F (Fiestas and Celebrations), and E (Eco-tourism and Environment) had its judging last Oct. 3  at FYU Corporate Center with Kelly Uy, President of Colours Digital Foto, Lilo Alino of Lilu Advertising and Marketing Solutions, and photography mentor and Nikon Pro ambassador, Ted Madamba Jr.

Reynante Opada, 39 from Leyte won the I and F categories while Jan Kirwin Chua, 15 of Cebu won the L and E categories.

Winners were chosen according to number of Facebook likes (40%) composition and creativity (35%), relevance to the category (35%), and impact (30%).

“The photos were taken out of my passion for photography,” said Reynante.

“I joined Colours of LIFE because I want to share my talent in photography and show the beauty of the Philippines,” said Kirwin.

The winners received Vanguard aluminium alloy tripods, Benro and Kata camera bags, Sunpak flash units, and Colours gift certificates.

The finalists include: Venice Dumandan (Leyte), Cresencio Bruce (Bohol), Rey Home Flores (Cebu) and Edsel Roseus Villas (Bohol).

The finalists’ and winners’unique photographs will be featured in Colours Digital Foto’s Traveling Exhibit in November. (FREEMAN)
