MCCI business summit aims to push traders to get ahead
CEBU, Philippines - With the evolving entrepreneurial trends and fast-paced technology, industry stakeholders and businessmen are encouraged to participate in this year’s business summit conducted by the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) and get insights on how to stay competitive and keep ahead of the game.
With the theme “Engaging Change: Be Fit. Be Connected. Be Aheadâ€, the MCCI Business Summit 2013 is slated today from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Cebu International Convention Center.
This is in line with this year’s Mandaue Business Month celebration, the annual flagship event of MCCI that is composed of a series of activities geared towards promoting sustainable and socially-responsible entrepreneurship.
The business organization aims to strategically position Mandaue City to be an attractive hub for business and investment in Cebu.
Resource speakers for the MCCI Business Summit 2013 include Asian Development Bank Philippine Country Office senior country economist Norio Usui who will discuss about taking the right road to inclusive growth, Ateneo Graduate School of Business Master in Entrepreneurship Program director Antonio Del Carmen who will talk about the roadmap of entrepreneurship towards inclusive growth, Digilab, Inc. chief marketing and strategy officer Nader Anvari who will tackle the trends in technology and smarter enterprises and Ayala Corporation Corporate Resources Group managing director and head John Philip “JP†Orbeta who will talk about managing multi-generation in the workplace.
With his topic on “Growing Your Business and Competing Globally: A Policy Agendaâ€, Senator Benigno “Bam†Aquino shall talk about the role of policymaking in promoting inclusive growth and our national competitiveness.
He will outline his proposed framework for inclusive growth which will involve a convergence of strategies of government, the private sector and active citizens, and will likewise tackle his priority measures.
Prior to being elected as the youngest senator of the Republic, Aquino is a globally-awarded social entrepreneur.
Other issues to be discussed include branding and how to use it as a successful business strategy which will be explained by Lexis Branding chief executive speaker Jacqueline Alexis Thng, transformation breakthroughs for enterprises that will be tackled by Ancilla Enterprise Development Consulting chairperson and chief executive officer Tita Puangco and practical strategies and recommendations on how to better understand oneself and its importance in attaining both business and life success which will be shared by LIFE Enrichment Consultancy bestselling author and president Michael Angelo Lobrin.
