Bong Soriano - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Lapu-Lapu City Police Office Director P/SSupt. Rey Lyndon Lawas has assured that security will be tightened in four cities in metro Cebu on August 4, the day when the 70.3 Ironman Triathlon takes place.

Lawas said the police have not received any report that would sabotage or disturb the triathlon.

The PNP, PAF, Phil. Navy and some law enforcement agencies are vigilant.

Even the Muslim community in Lapu-Lapu City collaborates with the PNP.

The tourist police are also on their toes most of the time. — (FREEMAN)
