CEBU, Philippines - Although admitting that the company has not established a strong presence yet in the Philippine market, US-based Elo Touch Solutions is committed to increase its brand awareness in the country and promote its wide range of products using touch technology intended for diverse markets.

Elo Touch Solutions Asia marketing manager Jenny Cheng said that although they are popularly known in other countries, they have to exert much effort in establishing a name in the Philippine market.

She said that the company considered the Philippines as a market that is rich with opportunities for growth since they foresee the country to be inclined with touch solutions.

Established in 1971, Elo Touch Solutions is a premier global supplier of touch solutions including touchscreen components, touchmonitors, and all-in-one touchcomputers.

Its diversified and complete product line aims to meet the various requirements of the different markets such as retail, point-of-sale, hospitality, industrial, digital signage, medical, healthcare, gaming, transportation, and custom.

Elo Touch Solutions, which claimed to be the pioneer in touch technology, has worldwide presence in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. It is headquartered in California.

Cheng cited that the retail sector is one of their biggest markets in the country as it accounts more than 45% of the company’s total market profile. The company offers retail touch interactive experience in screen sizes ranging from seven inches to 70 inches.

She said that they also have a strong client base from the gaming industry as Elo Touch Solutions produces a complete line of monitors for gaming machines and applications throughout the casino.

With the digital era at present, she is bullish that Elo Touch Solutions will eventually become as a strong brand in the country with touch technology as its main business.

“We are seeing the function of touch technology in the market and Philippines is slowly getting there,” Cheng stated.

She added that they are optimistic as they inked partnership with Touchstream Digital, Inc. as their new distributor in the country last year.

Touchstream Digital Inc. started its operations in 2011 as a distributor of information technology products such as software, hardware and peripherals to system integrators, corporate resellers and retailers across the country.

Strong with their commitment to position themselves in the Philippine market as a touch solutions company,  Elo Touch Solutions aims to go beyond the traditional approach and exploit the power of social media.

Cheng further revealed that they plan to conduct more fora for resellers and partners in the country and participate in exhibitions.

Last week, they held a brand awareness forum at Cebu City Marriott Hotel following the forum conducted in Manila three months ago.

They also introduced the company’s two new models to the Cebu market. These included the 1517L 15” LCD Desktop Touchmonitor and 1717L 17” LCD Desktop Touchmonitor.

Cheng added that they will also organize the same event in Davao within this year.

Elo Touch Solutions also joined the Total Office Products and Services Expo during the 17th Manufacturing Technology Cebu and PackPrintPlas Cebu Expositions at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino last July 25 to 27. /JOB (FREEMAN)
