Barkada ni Pedro to join World Youth Day in Brazil

CEBU, Philippines - Thirty-eight pilgrims from the Commission on Youth Delegation of the Archdiocese of Cebu will bring ‘Barkada ni Pedro’ (BNP) to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil during the World Youth Day celebration next month.

According to Marlito Cabigas, BNP admin, that COY-Cebu delegation’s goal is to promote our new saint, Pedro Calungsod to the young people of the world through ‘Barkada ni Pedro’ facebook fan page.  If they ‘like’ the page, they will be updated on a daily basis about San Pedro Calungsod and our Catholic faith.

The group plans to print t-shirts, produce stampitas & button pins to be given away to other pilgrims in this international gathering to be held on July 17-28, 2013.

Because of this, the group will facilitate a fundraising activity, a special advance screening of the award-winning movie ‘Boses’ endorsed by Archbishop Jose Palma.  The pre-screening will be on June 25, Tuesday at SM City Cebu, Cinema 5 with 3 pre-screening schedules (10am, 12nn, 2pm).

The said movie has received endorsements from DepEd, CHEd, CEAP and CBCP-ECY, and has won awards from prestigious film awards-giving bodies both here and abroad.
