CEBU, Philippines - Recognizing the need of one of its largest markets in the country for excellent after sales service, Singaporean brand Devant opened its first service center in Cebu yesterday at Rockford Marketing Building, A.C. Cortes Avenue, Cambaro, Mandaue City.

With Philippines as the pilot country of distribution, Devant is one of the major players and fast-growing brands in the light-emitting diode (LED) television (TV) industry.

It boasts of its value-for-money products ranging from players, speakers and LED TVs with various sizes and models.

Devant TVs are designed with cutting edge LED technology with top-of-the-line specifications and low power consumption.

It is also known of its Smart 3D Internet TV that combines the best in 3D and HD entertainment, wireless and cross-platform connectivity, and energy saving LED technology in one package.

Although the company has authorized service centers nationwide, customer service manager Janet Bombase said that Devant has felt the need to put up its own service center to be able to serve its customers.

“We value our customers. We want their retention and confidence to the brand. We aim to give them excellent service that they deserve. They don’t have to worry about after sales service. Kami lalapit sa kanila,” she told the reporters.

To date, there are 110 authorized service centers throughout the country with around 10 to 20 located in Cebu.

Devant business development manager Sharmaine Simtoco cited that Cebu is considered to be a very good market for the company as Devant ranks one of the top selling brands in the area.

This is in line with the company’s commitment to serve all technical needs in a timely manner and with an assurance that it is based on customer’s best interests.

Apart from its aggressive promotions and competitive pricing, she noted that Devant considers visibility and accessibility of its service centers for its target market.

Simtoco added that the company is the only brand offering two-year warranty with 30-day replacement period for its LED TV products, showing how confident Devant is in terms of quality.

She said that Devant is also the first brand in the country to release digital TV sets with built-in ISDB-T receivers last year.

Some models of Devant LED TVs are already digital broadcast-ready wherein the units are able to receive digital and high definition signals from local TV networks without the need for add-ons like the set-top boxes or HD.

“We offered the first digital television in the Philippines. By year 2015, digital na ang signal sa country,” she said.

She further revealed that they are planning to put up its third service center in Davao within this year.

Devant has its first existing service center in Manila.

The company is celebrating its 10th year of audio-visual excellence this month.

As part of the company’s 10th year anniversary celebration, Devant is offering free installation of LED TVs from 32 inches and above to its customers residing in Mandaue City until December 2013.

The 158-square meter service center is open from 9 AM to 6 PM during Mondays to Saturdays except for holidays.

Devant products are also available in major appliance stores and dealers nationwide such as Automatic Centre, AV Surfer, Du Ek Sam, Inc., Metro Gaisano, Robinsons Appliances, SNR, SM Appliance, and The First Family Appliance Circle Corp.

The company also caters to personalized home service by sending expert technicians who can do on-the-spot evaluation and repair. /JOB (FREEMAN)
