Gateway Motors opens new showroom

CEBU, Philippines - Gateway Motors Premium Used Cars, an affiliate of Gateway Motors Group, the authorized Cebu distributor of KIA Motors Philippines, BMW, and Peugeot has opened a new used car showroom in Cebu.

Conveniently located in the Acacia Street near the KIA hub, the showroom has the capacity to display 80 cars of wide variety and different brands, from sedans, SUVs to pick-up trucks and Utility Vehicles.

Gateway Motors’ continued success in the secondhand cars business has pushed them to create this new facility to further accommodate more customers by giving them a varied array of quality pre-owned cars.

In the past two years, the used cars section of Gateway Motors Group experienced a high level of growth. Carlos Gorospe II, the manager, said that at the moment they are selling on the average about 70 units a month.  He added that due to the persistent increase in the car market, as well as the high demand for quality secondhand cars, the company decided to renovate their showroom to display more units.

Gorospe reiterated that there is no secret to the success of their operations. “We have very reasonable appraisals.  We are flexible in our approach.   Our prices are fair, competitive and we only sell used quality units, plus we throw in a 3-month warranty,” he explained. The 3-month warranty is offered to all vehicles purchased from Gateway Motors as all vehicles undergo thorough check-up and conditioning to guarantee quality. This limited warranty covers labor and parts on a “case to case” basis.

The company also offers “After-Market Services” such as maintenance services, mechanical repairs, body repairs and painting.

Aside from car sales and aftermarket services, Gateway Motors also offers Vehicle Insurance Services through its Insurance Brokerage Department and assist customers with the processing of Damage Claims. They also have LTO Registration Renewal Services as well as Quick Car Loan Processing with their financial tie-ups with Banks.

“The business model is still at its infancy and we are riding the rapid growth of the market,” Gorospe said.  He added that, “Our aim is to be the best used car dealer in Cebu, being the best meaning giving every customer utmost satisfaction for every unit that we sell.”
