CEBU, Philippines - Globe Business recently earned significant ISO accreditations for quality and IT service management for its data centers and performance management center, further validating the company’s position as a service provider adherent to international standards of quality and service.

Globe Business is the corporate arm of leading telecommunicationscompany in the Philippines Globe Telecom.

Jesus Romero, head of Globe Business, said that the constant quest for improvement of the company strengthens the confidence of its customers and industries in the fulfillment of their IT requirements.

“Being aligned with and implementing global standards and internationally-accepted business practices, enterprises can rely on us to deliver the highest quality of corporate solutions, ably backed up by industry-certified services,” he said.

In January 2013, Globe Business was awarded with an ISO 20000-1:2011 IT Service Management System (ITSMS) certification that was released by AJA Registrar, Inc., an accredited and recognized certifying body in the Philippines.

It recognized four of its data center facilities in Mandaluyong City, Cebu City and Makati City and the newly-expanded MK2 data center for being state-of-the-art and IT-secured sites for enterprise customers.

It outlined the requirements for the service provider which includes design, transition, delivery and improvement of services to meet agreed service needed by customers.

Also, the Performance Management Center under the Network Operations Center of Globe received the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) certification in compliance to the internationally-accepted standards for quality by establishing sets of policies, processes and procedures required for organizational planning and execution.

The QMS certification of PMC, also conducted by AJA Registrar, Inc., will warrant high availability of the company’s wireline core data network infrastructure through the implementation and operation of effective data network support and services.

Globe Business Head of Customer Systems Harry Florendo said that such certifications drive the company to continuously improve its processes to meet evolving customer requirements and deliver quality service to its clients from various industry sectors such as business process outsourcing, financial institutions and banks, communications, manufacturing, retailing and government agencies.

“These are in-sync with our corporate philosophy of delighting our customers, ensuring that our Globe Business data centers operate effectively and efficiently,” he added.

Florentino said that these accreditations will impel Globe Business to implement best practices, compliance to international standards, and commitment to ensure customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and implementation of globally-accepted processes.

These latest certifications are in addition to the three other global industry certifications given to Globe Business within the past five years which includes ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management System, ISO 27001:2005 for Information Security Management System and BS 25999:2007 for Business Continuity Management System.  (FREEMAN)
