Wat Ever Family KTV opens outlet in Mabolo

CEBU, Philippines - What started in northern Mindanao has now been brought to the Queen City of the South. Wat Ever Family KTV opened its third outlet in the country, catering to the love of Filipinos and Cebuanos in particular for singing and karaoke.

Wat Ever Family KTV was initiated by LokalBoyz, a corporation led by Jim Anthony Uy.

It was born in Cagayan de Oro in 2010 and was then followed in Dumaguete.

Now, it has grown to three branches with its newly-opened outlet situated in an emerging commercial area at 2/F The Ridges, Mabolo, Cebu City.

Uy, who conceptualized the creative idea behind Wat Ever Family KTV, noted that it is intended to primarily cater to family, barkadas, call center agents, young professionals, and anyone who wants to have fun in singing.

He cited that they have experienced 100-percent occupancy rate everyday from its first two outlets.

He then invested around P300, 000 for the 180-square meter franchise in Cebu.

The Mabolo branch houses 12 karaoke rooms, all of the same size that can comfortably accommodate 8 to 12 persons.

The rooms are named after quirky expressions derived from the word “whatever”.

Every room is equipped with professional shock-proof microphones, dancing disco lights with voice recognition, fully air-conditioned and are also well-ventilated to cater to customers who want to smoke inside.

When the group is silent, the disco lights turn off but when the group is in lively chatter or laughter, the lights dance to the speed of the voice.

With the new sound system technology from Korea, Uy claimed that it is the only KTV in Cebu with high definition sound of accompaniment such as real acoustic sounds, giving the customers the sensation of doing a live concert.

Songs, which are updated monthly, could also be recorded and downloaded into a USB so customers can record their own cover album.

Believed to be the most affordable KTV, Wat Ever Family KTV has room rates at P88 per hour.

Pica-pica is also available that is good for 2 to 3 persons at P60 to P220. Beer Below Zero is sold at P35 per bottle.

Wat Ever Family KTV is open from 2 PM to 2 AM on Sundays to Thursdays and 2 PM to 3 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Cebu branch will have its grand opening next month.

A fourth outlet will soon be opened in Palawan by April of this year, Uy revealed. —(FREEMAN)
