Bridgestone shares passion for performance with PACE

Introduces brand ambassadors Kenneth Cobonpue and JP Tuason

MANILA, Philippines - Bridgestone Tires, a brand synonymous to quality, performance and the tire of choice of numerous supercar manufacturer and owners around the whole world, launched its newest brand ambassadors: International furniture artist Kenneth Cobonpue and Multi-awarded racecar driver and first Filipino BMW M certified driver trainer JP Tuason, in an exclusive dinner with the Performance and Classic Car Enthusiasts or PACE club of Cebu. 

PACE Club is a group of car collectors and enthusiast, which boast some of the best classic and supercars in the country.   Their cars are not just good for displays but are also in good conditions to take on nautical runs from Cebu to Bacolod.  Although they own and drive different car brands, one thing they all have in common is that they all enjoy driving well-crafted vehicles.

Kenneth Cobonpue, also a member of PACE club, is known for bringing world class Filipino talent and material ingenuity into the sets of Hollywood blockbusters and homes of royalty.  He has successfully designed and created pieces that marry form, function and eco sustainability; values that he and Bridgestone shares and has been carried into his love for cars. Kenneth collects cars that has or have influence the design and technological innovation of that particular period.  Which is why it wasn’t a surprise that he will later on create something that will mix both.  He designed a prototype bamboo car called  “the phoenix,” which was displayed at some of the biggest furniture and design shows all over the world.  He is also part of some efforts in creating sustainability in terms of automotive technology. Kenneth requires being in top form and on top of technology as he continues to be one of the creative forces that inspire numerous Filipino artists to reach out to the world. He also requires the best tire technology that Bridgestone is able to provide him.

Tuason on the other hand, is the founder and President of Tuason Racing School, the first and longest running racing school in the country. He has had a successful racing career spanning 24 years of karting, circuit car, and formula racing both here and abroad.   Also a known road safety advocate and champion maker, his latest achievement was racing in Nurburgring, Germany and Spa-Franconchamps, Belgium in the Porsche Sports Cup and becoming the lone Filipino BMW M Certified out of just 160 individuals in the world.  Tuason is passionate in providing world-class training and experiences to Filipino racing enthusiast.  He continues to help grow motorsports by creating cost effective grassroots race programs.  Bridgestone not only supports these programs, but also gives Tuason the confidence of high performance and safety on track.
