CEBU, Philippines - The fertile ground for beauty and wellness has prompted Filipino-owned skin care and beauty company Diana Stalder Face, Body and Skin care to   strengthen its brand presence in the country.

Formerly known as Dermaline Facial Center, Diana Stalder aims to capture the growing number of consumers looking for right and effective, yet affordable products that aids beauty regimen.

The brand, which has been supplying products to known dermatologists in the country through its Stalder Labs, a original-product-manufacturing (OPM) company, is now directly supplying the end users and take advantage of the fast growing demand for beauty products.

In an interview with Francis Albert Labora, the company’s marketing director, he said that the brand is now spending money to renovate all its outlets all over the country, including one in Cebu to attract market.

Although the brand has already gained trust from its existing consumer base, including professional experts in skin care, the company has to heighten its market presence to make the mainstream market aware of its presence.

Aside from enhancing the physical presence of 18 skin care centers in the Philippines, one is the Cebu located across SM Cebu, it will also intensify the marketing of its skin care consumer products by making it available in retail outlets such as Watsons chain of stores.

The brand, which has accreditation for Good manufacturing practice (GMP), boasts of good quality beauty products like whitening lines, and other skin care choices.

In its skin care center, Diana Stalder also carries well known foreign brands, targeted for the affluent market.

Diana Stalder skin care center in Cebu is located on Juan Luna Ext., corner A. Soriano Street, in Mabolo, near SM City.

According to Labora, the company is considering to open outlets in malls.

Despite the intense competition in the beauty business, Labora expressed confidence that the brand will take a bigger share of the Philippine market, considering the quality of products it offers.

He said the company will be aggressive in the promotion of its skin clinic business, which had been set aside when the company focused on its compounding and consumer goods business.

While the skin care and beauty business is considered as “recession-free”, it will continue to rake good revenue, as long as the products and services will be able to gain trust and confidence of   consumers.

“Nobody wants to look ugly in a struggling economy,” said Labora adding that although some Filipinos are financially struggling, beauty and wellness sector continues to grow.

Diana Stalder was founded by Dina dela Paz Stalder, a former medical representative and overseas worker. (FREEMAN)
