CEBU, Philippines - To provide Philippine-based companies the global competitive advantage, Accenture is strengthening its management consultancy offering to the domestic market, opening doors for the local firms to join the company’s roster of global clients in its management consultancy expertise.
Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing giant, will not only expand its operations in the country in terms of giving employment opportunities for Filipinos, but it is now positioned to extend its hands to local companies achieve world-class operation, while cutting costs.
Accenture Philippines country managing director Manolito T. Tayag said the company will focus on offering its management consultancy services to communication, financial services, and resources (utilities) industries.
This means that Philippine-based companies will be able to be at par with top 500 global firms in the world which some are clients of Accenture in the management consultancy services, he said.
“It’s about time to re-introduce our consulting services,” he said especially in the Philippines.
Accenture’s expertise in the management consultancy services, include among others, business strategy, analytics (business intelligence, data warehousing), human resource management, finance and enterprise performance.
He said the Philippines is one of Accenture’s major nodes of the company’s global network. While it has emphasized its commitment to grow in the Philippines, in the BPO and technology services, it has also started to penetrate the Philippine corporations to avail of the company’s outsourcing know-how in the management consultancy services.
The company operates 12 facilities in Metro Manila and two in Cebu with the largest footprint in the Philippines.
So far, Accenture has the widest range of IT (Systems Integration, Applications Outsourcing, Infrastructure outsourcing) and BPO (finance and accounting, health administration, customer contact, utilities, human resource, insurance, credit) services.
According to Tayag, the recent re-introduction of its consulting services will help clients move from issue to outcome, with pace, certainty and strategic agility.
Accenture Philippines is a pioneer of Accenture’s Global Delivery Network (GDN) for more than 50 delivery centers around the world. The Philippine Delivery Centers is the second largest node in the GDN and the third largest location in terms of headcount, next to the United States and India.
With more than 21,000 professionals in Metro Manila and Cebu, Accenture Philippine’s operations is made up of the largest and one of the most mature IT companies in the country by far.
Emphasizing the fact that Accenture is not a call center, the Filipinos now employed by the company in its 12 facilities in Manila and Cebu are doing complex jobs and high caliber skills requirements for its global clients, in different services in BPO, management consulting, and technology services.
