Cebu has sizable untapped market for Apple products

CEBU, Philippines - Major players in the information and technology industry are bullish in opening the Digi.Life store as one of the Apple Authorized Resellers in the country.

Situated at the 2nd floor of Cyberzone, SM City Consolacion, Digi.Life is a store concept owned by MSI-ECS and managed and operated by Thinking Tools Incorporated.

MSI-ECS President and Chief Executive Officer Jimmy Go said that the company believes that Cebu has a big market for Apple products and a booming market in Consolacion.

He added that what adds to their confidence in the local and tourist market is the popular brand itself which is continuously growing with over 50% annually worldwide.

“Digi.Life will be very successful in offering the best products and the best services of Apple. If it’s Apple, go to Digi.Life. And SM Consolacion is the very best place to come for Apple,” he stated.

He also noted that with its penetration in the IT industry, Apple already caters the demands of the ABCD levels of the society.

Go cited that Digi.Life is the first concept in the Philippines that MSI-ECS is franchising the store to one of its partners.

He assured the public that the newly-opened store guarantees quality products and services in standard pricing that are authorized and warranted from Apple.

He further revealed that more mall-based Digi.Life stores would be expected still with Thinking Tools, Inc. as its franchisee in their aim to grow the Apple business in the Philippine industry and have more Apple evangelists nationwide.

Meanwhile, Thinking Tools, Inc. Vice President for Sales and Marketing Virgin Tan said that they have been eyeing for opening an Apple store for so long and with Digi.Life store available to the Cebu market, they are anticipating for a “big” success and a 100% sales growth.

She added that they had worked with MSI-ECS, Apple and SM Malls with the concept of Digi.Life and projected SM City Consolacion as its viable location since it is a new mall.

She also noted that Thinking Tools will be committed to deliver the Apple items readily to the consumers and carry the up-to-date products and services.

“Using an Apple means you believe in the product. We even train our staff here since we also want our people to be passionate with Apple. We assure that we will be giving the best service to be able to serve the people here in Cebu better,” Tan said.

Digi.Life is a 60-square meter store showcasing an array of MAC notebooks, desktops, accessories, iPod, iPad, iPhone, software and other third-party accessories such as Ozaki, Buffalo, Belkin, Macally, Blaupunkt, X-Doria, Mili, Adobe, VMware, and AutoCAD.

It also functions as a drop-off point for service and repair of Apple products capitalizing on MSI-ECS and Thinking Tools’ expertise as authorized service partners of Apple.

Other Digi.Life stores are scheduled to be opened in Batangas, Laguna and additional branches nationwide by 2012.
