CEBU, Philippines - In its aim to strongly promote Cebu as an ideal investment and economic hub, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) – Cebu, will conduct a seminar on enterprise risk and cost management.
Serving as one of the highlights of the celebration of the Cebu Business Month, the seminar entitled as “Enterprise Risk Management and Managing Costs Using a Risk Management Approach” will be held on June 14 at Hotel Elizabeth, Lahug, Cebu City, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Juancho Robles, the risk management partner of Punongbayan & Araullo and the current president of the Institute of Internal Auditors-Philippines, shall discuss the various ways in managing costs using the principles of risk management and teach the attendees on how to implement such strategies.
He will also tackle the principles of risk which will include the identification and management of business risks which are considered significant due to the impact of regulatory compliance across the world.
CCCI believes that in today’s tough times, companies need to properly manage costs to earn profit and survive in the business arena.
The importance of costs objectives, prioritization of costs strategies and the different ways of managing costs such as quick fixes, business process improvements, re-engineering and cost-related management strategies will be discussed during the event.
Furthermore, the event is designed to introduce the concepts of embedded monitors and early warning indicators and how they fit into the overall risk management process.
