Huawei Philippines unveils new range of smart solutions
CEBU, Philippines - Bullish with the technology-based market, Huawei Philippines unveils smart solutions in the form of smartphone, tablet and mobile Wi-Fi device in Cebu.
Huawei Technologies Phils., Inc. Terminal Marketing Manager Emerald Dimapilis said that the company wants to be known as a household brand upon the introduction of the three products, responding to the need for personal, network and industry use for technology.
He added that Huawei is optimistic to have its solid footing in the Queen City of the South as the company envisions itself in selling devices to millions of consumers globally.
Introducing its latest smartphone, Huawei officially launched Huawei Honor which proudly features a three-day battery life on a single charge, making it the longest battery life among smartphones in the four-inch screen range.
Moreover, Huawei Honor offers Cloud+Drive with up to 160 GB cloud disk storage, synchronization, back-up of information and third-party applications, phone finder to manage lost phones, Huawei application store, Gyroscope for better gaming experience and an exclusive user interface.
Philippine Country Manager of Huawei Device Johnson Ma Xiaoqiang said that they are the first mobile phone manufacturer globally to launch a cloud-computing based smartphone.
“Now, we are really excited to bring this storage-in-the-sky to Filipino consumers through Huawei Honor,” he said.
Huawei Philippines also presented the pocket-sized Huawei Mobile Wi-Fi in two models and speed – the E586 referred as the world’s first HSPA+ mobile hotspot with 21 mbps download speed, and the E560 with up to 7.2 mbps download speed.
Dimapilis explained that these devices can be used with any 2G/3G sim card to allow users to connect through a more reachable network intended for people who are always on the move, students, businessmen and professionals.
“It’s pocket-size, easy-to-carry and enables you to create your personal Wi-Fi hotspot anytime, anywhere. Now, you can unleash the power of Wi-Fi within you,” he said.
Huawei Mobile Wi-Fi can support five hours of continuous use with its long battery life and 280 hours of standby time.
Next to the two devices is the Huawei MediaPad labelled as the world’s first seven-inch Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablet and a complete entertainment powerhouse driven by Qualcomm’s dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, supported by Huawei Device’s Hi-Space cloud solution and Google Android.
Dimapilis said that the seven- inch is preferred size in terms of portability for tablets, making the MediaPad as Huawei’s smartest, slimmest and lightest tablet.
He further said during a media briefing at the Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu that the Huawei devices are integration of global expertise from China, United States of America and United Kingdom.
“Our strategy here is we don’t just produce devices. We capitalize on solid integration in all aspects to upgrade technology in long term. And we are happy how Filipinos perceive and trust Huawei. We are confident that we can sell,” Dimapilis said.
As a Chinese telecom equipment provider, he noted that it has been the commitment of Huawei to provide quality brand of technology, thus building confidence in the market. (FREEMAN)
