Parklane launches Christmas campaign

CEBU, Philippines - To best cater its growing market, Cebu Parklane International Hotel launches a Christmas campaign that demonstrates the full depth and breadth of its new corporate identity as “a hotel in Cebu that stands for Cebu.”

 Parklane general manager Cenelyn Manguilimotan explained that since they rebranded the hotel, they thought of coming out with a Cebuano-themed Christmas which will showcase the best of Cebu. Thus, born the “Sugbu-anong Pasko sa Parklane.”

Parklane’s Christmas campaign will kick off with the Christmas tree lighting on December 2, 6PM. Parklane’s Christmas TV jingle commercial that was composed by well-known Cebuano composer Homer Cang will also be launched on this day.

Manguilimotan said that having Cang as the composer is another part of their campaign to have it all Cebu related since it means supporting local talents.

She added that the TV commercial, which would be shown soon in local channels, is not just an advertisement for the hotel but it’s really a showcase of how Parklane and Cebu are related. 

From December 15 to 23, Parklane will hold an early “Simbang Gabi,” at the Sapphire Lane ballroom located on the second floor. Mass will start at 7:30 PM.

Adding to the Christmas festivities would be Christmas Carols from the Children’s Joy Foundation from December 16 to 25 at the lobby from 6:30-8:00 PM.

Manguilimotan also added that they will be offering a lunch or dinner buffet of local Christmas dishes at Manuel’s Rastaurant for P500 per head except on these dates:   December 24- Christmas Dinner Buffet at P750, December 25- Christmas Brunch Buffet at P650, December 25- Christmas Dinner Buffet at P750, December 31- New Year’s Eve Dinner Buffet at P750 and January 1- New Year’s Day Brunch at P650. 

Parklane ends the year and welcomes the new one with “Auld Lang Syne 2012,” the hotel’s New Year’s Countdown Techno-Fuzion Party which will feature a live band and fireworks display.

The party is open for free to all in house guests, Parklane Visa and Lifestyle Plus Rewards cardholders and a companion. Non-cardholders who may want to join the merrymaking pay     P1,000 per head. This is already inclusive of pica-pica and open bar on selected cocktails and beverages. — (FREEMAN)
