AboitizLand pours P750M into Hanaya resort project

CEBU, Philippines - Aboitiz Land Inc., has introduced another first in Cebu, with the construction of 5.2 hectare resort residences within the Cebu metropolis that will provide a total of 376 resort-concept condominiums located on the Cebu City-Mandaue City border in Canduman.

To be called “Hanaya Resort Residences,” the company is investing at least P750 million for the horizontal and vertical developments of the project, said AboitizLand sales manager Grace Lepiten in a press conference.

Hanaya is a fusion of the Visayan term for comfort and convenience, “hayahay”, and the Japanese “hanayo” or a world of flowers.

The 5.2 hectare development will start is resort-theme vertical community, a low density, mid-rise development, by eartly fourth quarter this year.

“We are creating in Hanaya the ideal tropical homes, a high-value investment—excellent ventilation and lighting, abundant greenery, amenities that allow optimum enjoyment of our fabulous climate in order to nurture great relationship, a secure environment and high property management standards,” said Lepiten.

Hanaya, is planned to host verdant landscaping taking advantage of the market’s demand for relaxing environment within the metropolis.

The development promises to provide an open space to building footprint ratio of 70:30, Cebu’s highest yet. It is the ideal gateway within the city, “where everyday is a weekend.”

Hanaya is also seen as the landmark project in condominium development in Cebu for its obvious preference for space.

“Every level of the six-story condominium structures hosts merely sixteen residences each having a balcony looking out into the amenities below. Every unit’s front door looks down into the building’s atrium.

She said Hanaya unit features two bedrooms and a single toilet and bath, kitchen, dining and living areas in a generous 44 square-meter space, an ideal home for resident young families and singles, or frequent vacationers.

The company will initially develop the phase I, which will utilize the 2.5 hectares of the total master-planned 5.2 hectare project. (FREEMAN)
