Kuyog ta sa Ovanta!
As Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry forges ahead with its celebration of the Mandaue Business Month, the OVANTA or Outstanding Ventures and New Technological Alternatives. This is an expo of the Filipino creativity and innovativeness that realizes what others just mouth for a sustainable environment and business.
The OVANTA is advocacy in action where practices that promote saving energy, air, the blue and green of our ecology is put to form in light bulb that need less electricity. Or current that harnesses the power of the sun.
It demonstrates social responsibility in coming up with products that maximize recyclables into beautiful art pieces and useful materials that reduce the accumulation of wastes in the otherwise heaping dumpsites. Artistic hands of inmates trained by Rajo Laurel to face life with the perspective of beauty rather than the design of poverty and pain has truly made the work of Rags to Riches an intricate expression of opportunities realized.
OVANTA brings forward the handmade clothes, toys and a wealth of articles that have stories of struggles and triumphs from the Anthill communities of Annie Lim. The items have a character of their own that goes deeper than just the masterpiece.
OVANTA promotes processes that encourage saving the ozone, through lesser refuse that emit methane gases that hurt and further tear its remaining thin layer.
Here in OVANTA, business participants are communities of aware corporate citizens who want to contaminate the profit-driven business with sustainable profit approaches that warm the heart as it fills the bellies of assisted communities.
Kuyog ta sa OVANTA!. Let’s meet each other at Ayala’s Activity Center in Cebu City on August 17 to 19 or Parkmall in Mandaue City on August 20-22.
The OVANTA program is chaired by Mr. Philip Tan of Wellmade Motors and Co-Chaired by Mr. Wesley Chiongbian of Mynimo . Both are Officers of Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry. - THE FREEMAN
