Autodesk introduces training, certification program in PHL
CEBU, Philippines - As part of its commitment to help local designers, from the academic to the professional level, in terms of techical skills expertise and marketability in both local and global market, Autodesk announced the introduction of its training and certification program in the Philippines.
Dubbed as the Training and Certification Program, the world leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software Autodesk, Inc. further boosts Filipino design professionals and students with the necessary technical training and certification that will strengthen their capabilities.
Autodesk Philippines Country Manager Teddy D. Tiu said that the program is designed to enhance and validate the users’ technical expertise in Autodesk’s wide range of design solutions for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) segment, one of them being AutoCAD 2012.
Autodesk’s Training and Certification Program also aims to help them maximize their use of Autodesk solutions for Digital Prototyping, Building Information Modeling and Sustainable Design, Tiu added.
The program concretely shows the company’s commitment to raise the bar of expertise of our local design and architecture professionals and students and make them more competitive in the global market, Tiu pointed out, adding that the program can also push business growth to the design-centric business process outsourcing (BPO) companies in the country.
US-based AEC firm Parsons Brinckerhoff was one of the companies that first experienced the benefits of the Autodesk Training and Certification Program.
Parsons Brinckerhoff CADD Training Manager Rebecca Arsham said that the program increased the productivity among employees because it helped focus learning on needed skills.
It boosted our competitive advantage —the ability to market Autodesk-certified staff and lower turnover due to increased employee job satisfaction, underscored Arsham.
“Given that the cost to replace a highly technical employee can range between one-half to five times the yearly salary of that employee, we are more than happy to invest in our employees so that they can fully leverage the Autodesk technology at their disposal,” Arsham added.
Seeing the benefits of the Autodesk Training and Certification Program, local firms and academic institutions have already considered implementing the program for their employees.
According to Far Eastern University (FEU) - East Asia College Director Jarvis C. Muyargas, “Providing quality education is essential at FEU - East Asia College. Autodesk has responded by providing our students with free use of software and giving our faculty members with opportunity to be certified in their field of expertise. That is what you call commitment to quality education.”
Autodesk has appointed MicroCADD Technologies Company Inc and Standford IT Learning Center as their official Autodesk Training Centers in the Philippines.
